Chapter 20 by theia theia

What happens now?

Vaitea helps you escape

From the expression on her face it’s clear that Vaitea is torn. Part of her struggles to understand why anyone would not want Tautoru as a husband. Part of her recognizes that you are unhappy, sympathizes, and wants to help.

This latter part wins out, because Vaitea takes your hands in hers and says, "I will help you."

You and Christina exchange a glance of relief. "Thank you!"

"We wait two days. Tautoru and Ikaroa go away for days then, go to other island. I will help you get to town."

"But won't you get in trouble?" Christina asks.

Vaitea says, "I will say you **** me. Besides, not all punishment is … punishment."

The two days' wait proves beneficial. You go into labour later that night. It is hard to believe that it has already been a week since your escape from the lab and your father's crazy plans for you. The Ally in the mirror is not the Ally that came to that island. Your skin is now a similar shade to Vaitea's, and while your hair is still blonde, your roots have begun to show. The tattoos and piercings add to your exotic appearance, your mixture of East and West. Your belly is swollen with your pregnancy, and your tits have likewise ballooned and begun to lactate. You look somewhat older, much more mature and well-used than your 19 years.

Giving birth a second time is no less painful, but at least you know what to expect. Vaitea helps; she seems to have some experience in these matters. Soon she is holding two new aphrodisiac plants. Tautoru grins when he sees them and instructs her to plant them in the vegetable garden. Apparently he is already counting the ways he can profit from their flowers. He and Ikaroa leave the day after next on a smuggling run, but he takes pity on your worn out bodies and forbears a farewell fuck. Instead he and Ikaroa take Vaitea mercilessly in front of you, but you don't feel too bad about her sacrifice: she clearly enjoys it.

As soon as the men are gone, Vaitea is good to her word. She puts together some food and money for you. At first you want to wear your Western clothing, but she persuades you to stick with your more revealing native garb. It will draw less attention that way, which is what you want in case your dad and the company are still looking for the two of you.

Vaitea leaves you at the edge of town. You each draw her into a tight, grateful embrace. "Thank you for everything," Christina says.

"Good luck," she says before fading back into the jungle. The two of you immediately set off into town.

Finding your away around the small port town is easy enough. There is a small airport on the opposite end of town from the harbour. A single runway and terminal serve the tourists who are coming to and from this island. As you and Christina look on from a side street and wonder how to proceed, a black SUV drives past and stops near the entrance to the terminal. You watch in surprise as your father hops out. He reaches into the backseat and pulls out a slim, black briefcase, then closes the door of the SUV, which drives away.

"Maybe we should go talk to him," Christina says.

"What? He's the reason we got into this mess!"

Christina doesn't argue that, in fact, it's probably your own fault you got caught up in this. If you hadn't gone snooping, none of this would have happened. The fact remains, though, that your father was the one who was going to keep you a kind of lab prisoner.

"He's still your dad, Ally. And he's alone now. We could go up to him, talk to him on even footing. Maybe he will help us."

That's a good point. You're in public, and you'd just look like two native girls approaching a rich-looking foreigner. Nobody watching would see anything amiss, and he wouldn't be able to do anything to you. If it didn't go well, you could just walk away. On the other hand, if he doesn't want to help you, then you will have revealed that you are still on the island and what you look like. Both of your advantages will evaporate.

What do you do?
