VB Day 12 - After school

After a full day of school without any interruptions or problems, you aren’t sure how to feel. It was easy and fun. You return home with a whole new outlook on everything.

You find Demi with Tari, both of them sunbathing topless by the pool.

You quickly change into your suit and join them, then take off your top too because why not? You feel confident, and it’s Demon World. Cas brings you a cold drink, and you talk with Demi and Tari about what you should have for dinner. Order Demon Pizza? Demon Chinese? Looks like they’re feeling lazy. That works for you. You’re tired, but in a good way.

The sun is going down, and you look at Demi’s pregnant body, bathed in the soft light. Things are going much better. You were so miserable before when every day was a disaster and that stuff with the tutor… this is much better. You owe it all to Moira.

“Where’s Moira?” you ask as Tari rolls onto her front, presenting her shapely bottom, tail waving idly.

“In the library,” Demi replies with a yawn.

After dinner, you go to the library to check on her. The tall, thin woman sits elegantly in an armchair, surrounded by stacks of books.

“Hi,” you say.

“How did it go?” she asks without looking up.

“Really well,” you reply, feeling uncharacteristically bubbly. “I never knew how interesting the Demon World was. There’s a lot to it when things are calm enough that I can pay attention, you know?”

“I think I do,” she says, turning a page.

“Everything you said is true. Everything you recommended worked. Suspiciously well,” you add.

“Good,” she murmurs, still reading.

“So, I guess you held up your end,” you say, scratching your head. “Want me to set you free?”

“Not just yet,” she says, looking up now. “I don’t have access to these books in the human world. And I understand that the time dilation works in my favor here. I’d like to stay and read.”

You shrug. “OK. Will you still help me study?”

“I’ll still be your ****,” she notes.

Right. She has to. If she wants to, then fine. You aren’t going to try to talk her out of it.

“Whatcha reading?” you ask, looking over her shoulder. Succubus court cases! So this is where your Ethics class comes into play… if you break the rules you can end up in Demon Court.

“Can I read that one when you’re done?” you ask.

Moira raises an eyebrow. “You want to?”

“Yeah,” you say, sitting down in the other armchair. You pick up a book from the stack. Succubus Combat Techniques. You didn’t even know that combat was a thing around here. Interesting! You open the book and put it on your lap.

“What?” you say, looking at Moira.

“Nothing,” she replies, going back to her own book.
