Suddenly, the snake found itself squeezing not a warm, soft thing of flesh but a thing of unyielding iron, a thing that unlike all other prey it had encountered in its life was not only resisting his coils put pushing back. It was with as much surprise as pain that the snake let go, fleeing back up the tree as its prey fell to the jungle floor below, only to be stopped short in the arms of a very different predator; Kraven, caching her as he swung on a cable from the tree he had been perched in.

“Your escape in the cave was impressive, Mrs. Richards, but you forgot I am not the only hunter in this jungle,” Kraven said as he held the dazed and now-visible Sue. “You have been worthy quarry, but the chase is over now. Will you come with me and freely to keep your word, or will you require…restraints?”
