Notes

The Earl and Countess's bathroom has a opaque curtain, running the length of the room which can descend through mechanical trickery and locks in place to divide the room. Usually they have the divide up and chat across the room despite the attendance of the Valet and Lady's Maid who wash them. They call the sunken bath in the middle of the bathroom 'TOP' (The Orgy Pool).

The family rooms have full equipped shared bathrooms with showers The guest bedrooms share bathrooms which contain only a bath to enhance the chances of embarrassment. However there are larger fully equipped bathrooms and toilets along the corridor. All bedrooms have wash bowls.

The vestibules are used for storing full or empty chamber pots as it is not considered good form to use the bathroom facilities at night unless you are at least an Earl. Servants have to empty their own chamber pots.

The servants of the guests have their own rooms with their own bathroom, except for the servants who serve those in the suites -they have to make their own washing arrangements. The royal servants would usually be given permission to use the guest bathrooms at the end of the North Wing.

The kitchen annex has 2 communal bathrooms, nominally one for the men and one for the women but sometimes in the rush of the morning it has been known for the bolder female servants to use the male bathroom. There are no divides in these rooms, which feature 4 baths, toilets and washbowls. This is further part of the Earl's belief that nobody should be embarrassed by a naked body, although he find it very amusing when they are.
