Up!

You run to the end of the corridor. "Is there anyone else in the house?" you ask the dazed girl while you run to safety. Brittany doesn't answer however, so you assume the best case scenario and say there's no one else home. You enter the last room on your left and find a bedroom.

Bingo! The bedroom has a large window overlooking the gardens of the houses. That should be enough to give them access to the roof, where hopefully they could escape the much heavier and less mobile guards.

You pull Brittany into the room and close the door. You spin her around so she's facing you. "Can you climb?" you ask her.

She weakly nods.

"Good, I'm going to open this window and I'm going to climb up to the roof. I need you to do the same." you say, not waiting for a response before opening the window and climbing out of it. The roof isn't very high and is luckily flat, so it's not too hard to get up there.

Once you're up there you hear the sound of a door getting kicked in. You extend your hand as far down as possible. "Jump!" you yell out at Brittany, who is frozen in the window frame. The sound of the door splintering into pieces behind her is finally enough to push the traumatised girl to jump, but not before getting hit in the shoulder. Her hand grabs onto your arm, but she's too weak.

You let go of the metal bar you were holding for stability and grab her arm with two hands. She's not the lightest, but you manage to pull her up onto the roof with you. She's crying and whining about the pain in her shoulder, but you ignore that for now. Instead you quickly pick her up and carry her away, which was the right decision. Only moments later the men open fire on the roof from inside the house, riddling it with bullets.

"They'll come back to secure the kill, but that should buy us some time." you say as you lay Brittany down on the roof and inspect her wound.

One entry wound. One exit wound. Slight bleeding, so you would have to get her some proper care soon, but your first priority would be to escape the guards. You look around and find a target destination.
