Unexpected change of plans?!

Lou crossed his arms and leaned on the door frame, feeling like the cat that caught the canary. An easy favor that he could use to prove his worth to Debbie? A no-brainer! He smugly smiled as he waited for her to answer. However, he didn't expect what came next.

"You really expect us to stay with this douche?" A female voice came from behind Debbie.

Lou looked around and saw not one, but TWO girls standing there. One a blonde, who looked a bit like a small version of Debbie, but wore a leopard print miniskirt, black satin camisole, and platform heels. The other girl wore glasses and had her nose buried in her phone. She was a slightly chubby brunette and didn't seem to be present in the moment.

"Hang on will you? Tracy, look up and meet your roommate for the next few days." Debbie said to the girls.

"Roommate? What?" Lou asked, confused.

"Sorry, my nieces surprised me by wanting to stay with me this weekend, but as you know I have a flight to Tokyo tonight and won't be back until Tuesday. So, I was hoping they could stay here with you until I'm back. They're my oldest sister's kids. They're in college, but on spring break. They shouldn't give you any trouble. Will they?" Debbie turned to the girls for an answer; they both shrugged in unison.

"Did they practice that?" Lou asked Debbie.

Debbie shrugged.

Lou stood there for a moment and contemplated it.

"Because I know this is a burden on you, I'll pay you overtime pay until I return and am able to take them home with me. Is that a good deal?" Debbie asked.

Lou stroked his chin in thought before accepting the proposal.

"Sure, I'm here to help!" Lou accepted enthusiastically.

"Ok, Dee-Dee this is Lou. Lou, this is Dee-Dee. As you heard, Tracy is the quiet one on her phone. Neither should give you any trouble. Just make sure Dee-Dee isn't out past midnight ok?" Debbie explained.

"Jeez, you're worse than our mom." Dee-Dee whined.

"Yeah, cuz I don't want her to Lord any mistakes over me ok? It's just for a few days. I'll be back before you know it." Debbie said.

The two girls dragged suitcases inside Lou's apartment and the trio waved bye to Debbie as she walked back to the parking lot. Lou never babysat before. But he figured these two adult college students wouldn't be hard to manage.
