Chapter 4 by valironsfan valironsfan

What's first?

Undercover identities

Kay was right, before anything else they needed undercover identities that would blend in and allow them to make contact with their protectees.

She quickly set her own identity up with the university IT system with a fake name and background. She was able to use her own college grades from years before and added a note to the system to explain that she had completed many of the courses but was in need of revision for work purposes. For work she put down a code for Government Administration.

Any college check would simply reveal that Kayleigh Johnson had gone to work for Government before she completed her course work and that she was being sent back to get her final qualifications. The Government Administration code would quash any doubts because they did that sort of thing all the time to make sure they got the best codebreakers, hackers and cryptographers.

Val posed a bigger challenge. Kay looked up from her desk to see her blonde boss had stopped trying to think of a good cover identity and was now laying out a range of outfits that looked like they would be worn by college girls. Assuming the college girl in question was a total slut thought Kay to herself. She felt bad immediately for thinking such a thing. It was probably just jealousy on her part she thought. She wished she had the confidence to wear skirts that barely covered her ass or tops that looked like they were painted on. She remembered listening enviously to Val once as her blonde boss explained that even with the tightest clothes and fashions she always got at least one size too small to make sure that she looked her best. After all, thought Kay, its not her fault that she looks like she does. If anything its probably harder to keep a body like hers fit than it is to get good grades. Kay’s general feelings of inadequacy, never very far from the surface around Val, temporarily resurfaced as she tried hard to shake herself out of it.

None of which really helped her come up with an identity for Val. Suddenly she saw Val shake out a cheerleader costume and add it to the clothes pile. Or least a cheerleader costume that a teenage boy might design, short on skirt, tight on top. That’s it, Kay realised. Faking Val’s grades to get her into classes with Amber could be tricky if anyone spoke with her and realised that beyond the ditzy blonde image there was just just more ditzy blonde. But the college had fairly well established scholarship programme for some athletic tracks. Some quick checking revealed that yes there was a process to get top quality cheerleaders into Berkeley and it would explain how someone like Val got into such a prestigious school.

Kay left Val’s first name unchanged on the cover identity, remembering the difficulty they had had on other undercover assignments when the cover identities got too confusing for Val. Kay changed the surname to Johnson as well indulging in a little fantasy that they could be sisters.

“Val,” said Kay, “I’ve got it all set up. You’re on a cheerleader scholarship to Berkeley and I’m your sister there to finish my college credits.”

“Oh Kay,” said Val with a big smile, “How wonderful, you’re exactly what I always wanted in a sister. This will be so much fun.” Val bounced over to her and gave her a hug.

Kay smiled back and tried to smother the another spurt of jealousy as she felt Val’s magnificent chest press into her.

“Super fun,” she responded, “What will we do next?”
