Under the stars

There was a bottle and two glasses of a sparkling Rose wine. A mix for cheeses and crackers, and a few finger foods and meats on a large tray. John followed her out with the blanket, his own outfit now just his dark work slacks and dress shirt, partly unbuttoned. He put the tray down where the blanket was going, and then using his phone, shut off all the house lights remotely. It would take a few seconds for their eyes to adjust but once they did.

Noriko followed her father out onto the patio. The distance from the city, and the lights being out, left the sky amazing, and they curled up beneath the night sky. Noriko looked at her father as he settled in with the snack, eating the piece he fed her. "I enjoyed the weekend Dad. I know this isn't what a father and daughter should do, but I love you, and I'm happy you took me as a lover."

After feeding her a few other choice items he filled her glass again and drank and ate himself. Then he lay on his back resting the wine glass on his chest. "This is so wrong, yet feels so right. How we met, and our legal relationship is what is wrong, and to some our age gap. Yet if we had met in a different way, it would not really be that wrong at all, it is like fate, can be a cruel mistress...." He said as he gazed up to the stars, lost in thought.

"It is wrong, but only because you married mom when I was a toddler, making me a dependent under eyes of the law. That's the only thing that makes this wrong dad." She paused, looking to him. "But as long as we keep it quiet, there's nothing wrong with keeping this going. I'd love to see you and mom in love like we are, but if that can't be, then I'm here for you dad."
