Run?
Turn and flee.
As soon as his hand disappeared from her shoulder, Aryn turned tail and fled through the streets. She was confidant that the butcher wouldn't follow her. She wasn't worth it.
Even after she knew she wasn't being followed, she still made a few turns before stopping at the edge of the road. Passing across the dirt path, Aryn hear hoofbeats behind her. She turned her head and saw an ornately decorated carriage. The top half of the carriage was drawn back and seated within was a young, black haired noble.
As soon as she saw the crown upon his brow, Aryn sank to her knees. Aryn did not know what kingdom this man was from, but she knew that he would have few qualms about murdering a lowly peasant.
The rattling of the coach continued, but it stopped just before Aryn. She whispered under her breath, "Oh gods, oh gods, Ycana bless me with life, Aforen give me strength." She was almost in tears when the man stepped out and stood before her.
"Rise" said the noble, looking down on the beautiful commoner. Aryn was sure this was her ****, the nobility was cruel and finding lowly one's bodies wasn't all that uncommon. However, as Aryn raised her eyes to meet his, she briefly saw a look of shock before returning her eyes to his boots. Turing to his guard, "Bring her with," he commanded, "and close the carriage." He turned back to Aryn, "Follow me." he smirked, motioning to his vehicle, the top now closed.
Follow him?
