"I'll take my chances with the inmates." You say to yourself, as you turn on your heel in one smooth motion, at the same time drawing your issued firearm. Stepping forward in this new direction, you investigate your weapon, the now archaic HK45C pistol. Turning the palm of your hand, your thumb presses down on magazine release and ejected the small metal item. It held eight-rounds and that's all you'll get before having to reload or in the case where you are completely out of ammunition, switch to your baton. Gripping the magazine, you slide it back into the gun and walked towards the direction you came from, thinking of how confident you would be with a different weapon.

I knew I should have bought the new FCT-8000 Plasma Defender. 30 shots before having to change the power cell and it would definitely deter the majority of the inmates with a single shot... If only the damn thing didn't cause 70,000 credits. Tch.

You are taken out of your thoughts when you are called out by a human inmate roughly 50 feet from you. He stands alone, which is a relief yet at the same time troubling. Where are the other inmate that had chased her? Again, the lone inmate snaps you out of your thoughts with a cocky grin, repeating what he said earlier.

"Didn't hear me?! I said I knew you would be back!" He happily shouts, after briefly eyeing your pistol. "Now as you can see, it's just the two of us at the moment. My friends are currently "preoccupied" by some of your female colleagues and left me here to jump you when you return... But I have other plans. You see, I'm not into getting jailed again or executed once the inevitable arrival of reinforcement comes and I want to escape. I assume you know where the escape pods are, you're going to take me to them. What do you say?"

Uncertain of the deal, you ask him a question. "Oh yeah, what do I get out of this deal? And how do I know you're not lying?"

"What you get is me not shouting for my buddies and getting fucked in every hole until you pass out. Secondly, if I wanted to do something to you, I could have hidden myself and waited until you came back." He answers. "Do we have a deal or not?"
