Try to stall

Ariel squealed at his sound, not because she was naked in bed....but because she was that way with an equally naked Bella. She glanced over to the cleric who also seemed perturbed.

"Answer him," Bella whispered.

"Uh, that's great," Ariel stammered out. "Um, let me get dressed first and I'll meet you downstairs. That okay?"

There was a moment of silence. Then, Janno's voice called through the door, "That's fine. I'll be waiting at one of the tables by the windows on the far side of the dining area."

There was a pause, then Janno added, "By the way, you haven't seen Bella have you? I tried her room first, but she wasn't there."

Ariel gasped and glanced over to her female companion. Bella's eyes narrowed. She nodded over to Ariel.

"Uh, nope, haven't seen that luscious cleric since we departed your room after our first encounter," Ariel quickly blurted out. "It isn't like she spent the night here or anything of the sort."

Bella sighed at this. Ariel apparently didn't think on the spot well. The blond winced as she realized her mistake and quickly added, "Perhaps she went out early to pray at her church."

Bella sighed again. There are no church of Lacella, a small religious sect, in the fairly remote town of Woodhaven.

Finally, a sound could be heard through the door. It was Janno chuckling!
"I came by to check your door yesterday to see if you wanted to go out Ariel. Let's just say I heard two feminine voices in there. The maid also said there have been a lot of interesting noises coming from your room since about mid-day yesterday. So.....Bella, please come down as well. That is, if Ariel has finished helping you with your requirement."

Ariel's mouth dropped while Bella gave a wry grin. Janno was fairly intelligent for the fighter and apparently had pieced things together. "We will be down there shortly."

"Good because I need to get you two up to speed on what I have been doing since yesterday," Janno said.

The two girls then heard footsteps fading down the hallway. Bella frowned and looked over at Ariel. "What does he mean by that?"
