Try to fall to saftey

Eric had only one choice, he slammed on the front breaks and shifted his wieght forwards and to the side, the momentum lifted the back wheel off the ground causing a "stoppie" the rear wheel was smashed into by the truck but with Eric overbalancing and momentum carrying him to the side, the truck just shoved the bike aside.

That left Eric in mid air, the bike behind him and rapidly moving road moving up to meet him, Eric reached up with his hands to protect himself as he smacked into the ground and half rolled half skidded into the gutter followed by his bike.

Everything hurt, his hands, elbows, knees and spine hurt the most, Eric crawled shakily onto the footpath in shock, several people must have run over to help as several concerned faces swim into view through the semi-tunnel vision caused by the shock Eric was now entering.

Something jolts Eric into paying attention to the people trying to help. "I said I am calling an ambulance, you look like your in shock ok?" said the one talking loudest, a plump lady with a colorful scarf.

"no no no, I can't afford ambulences just let me stay here for a bit please" said Eric, struggling to be heard over the surrounding gaggle of helpful people.

"I really don't think... oh allright" she said, then turning she shooed some of the others away to see if anyone else was hurt.

Looking past her Eric could see confusion, panic and fear on people's faces. Some probably thought it was a terrorist attack or something. Hell mabye it was, Looking over in the direction of the truck all Eric could see was thick dark smoke, the smell of burning rubber and chemicals was thick in the air.

"hey uh... is my bike ok?" Eric asked the woman as she turned back to see how he was.

"dont worry yourself with the bike, ill make sure it's safe-" and suddenly everything she was saying went dull as Eric blacked out...
