Trust your powers

She?s bluffing; I thought to myself, my powers are limitless!  I stood my ground as Domino pulled the trigger, reaching out with my powers to swat the projectile away.  I was partially successful; I did indeed have enough power to interrupt the path of the dart.  Instead of a dead center shot, as Domino had intended, the dart hit me in the shoulder instead.

My head swam as the sedative hit my system; it was powerful, obviously designed with me in mind.  I stumbled backwards, using the wall to support myself.  I shifted my powers inward, desperately trying to get my nervous system under control.

?Now you really look like hell.?  Domino said with a smirk, assuming a more casual stance.  ?You know for an ultimate weapon this is almost too easy.?

I glare at her, weighing my options; I could try my powers again, nothing fancy, a brute **** blast of telekinetic power, slam her backwards into the wall and try to knock her out.  Rage can give powers a boost, and my blood was positively boiling.  Domino just looked so cocky, so sure of herself? so sure of herself? I could just collapse right now, play possum.  Give her exactly what she?s expecting, lull her into a false sense of security, and then strike!
