Chapter 117 by Somburliss Somburliss

What awaits you on the trail?

Trouble on Cycling Road

You follow the dirt path, dotted with bushes and trees along the side, as far out of Fuchsia City as it goes. But, just a few feet ahead, it comes to an abrupt end in favor of a steel bridge. It was clearly made for automobiles, but there are lanes on the side for bicycles as well. You have neither, so apparently you’ll be walking down the bike lane. Hopefully it isn’t too far, since camping overnight on a bridge would be tough. Oh well. You’ll just have to walk fast! Before you can take another step, though, someone pulls you into the bushes.

“Hey, what’s the big i- *mmb!*”

“Shh!” says a stranger’s voice.

They direct you to look over the bushes, where you see a gang of bikers race down the bridge making far too much noise. Each motorcycle has a long antenna on the back, with many flags whipping around in the wind. Wait. Those aren’t flags… Those are panties! What pigs! The stranger waits until the bikers are gone before removing her hand from your mouth.

“Hey! Don’t just pull random girls into bushes!” you fume.

“I’m sorry citizen, I was simply doing my duty to protect you from those hooligans out there. I’m Officer Jenny. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Taking your first look at the stranger, you see a woman with shoulder-length, layered blue hair, dressed in a navy blue police uniform. Blue vest, blue pencil skirt, pantyhose, high heels… It reminds you of the uniform you wore when checking peoples’ passes outside Vermilion City. Except her cap has an official-looking insignia on it. A female police officer, dressed with both authority and class… how cool!

“S-Sorry. I’m Emilia. I didn’t know it was dangerous around here.”

“It’s not your fault, Emilia. It’s a recent occurrence. These cyclists have been harassing any women who try to use the bridge. It isn’t safe to use now, and I didn’t want to see you become their next victim.”

“What!? That’s awful! You should go arrest them immediately!” you declare.

“A-About that… You see, it wouldn’t work if I tried to confront them on my own. There’s too many of them. I need a partner, but all of the other officers at my station are, well… they’re indisposed.”

It sounds like you’d have a hard time crossing the bridge until this is resolved.

What do you do about this situation?
