Chapter 5 by DragonStar1 DragonStar1

What did Rocko leave for him?

Treasure maps, coins and ????

The chest ended up having a few sheets of paper in them. Janno rifled through them and gasped. The sheets of paper were treasure maps! There were several of them too! Rocko apparently had been storing them for safekeeping in even that he would go search for them one day. That day would never come, but he found a way to get them to someone who could use them. That would be Janno.

The fighter sighed. Even in his grave, the barbarian was proving to be good friend indeed. Here Janno was searching for an adventure and a few of them were now stuffed in the chest.

Janno read some of the maps and realized that they could be dangerous. One was rife with traps in a cave. Another was deep in a forest. Yet, a third was on an island. It didn't look like any of them were easy. Perhaps that was why Rocko stored them for later. He realized he wasn't strong enough to go after them yet, so he waited until he was better prepared. Janno had a sinking feeling that he would not be able to go after these treasures soon either. He was even less skilled than Rocko was at the time of his ****.

Grumbling at this new realization, Janno went through the rest of the contents. There actually some coins, gold no less. Apparently, Rocko was smart enough to leave behind an emergency fund. Janno realized that he had enough money to buy some better equipment now. Maybe for Kassi, too.

There were some notices as well. One was a line of credit for a horse trader in the nearby town of Riverbend. That was a couple days journey away on the way to Skycliff. Apparently, if Janno wanted, he could present the note to the trader to get a decent riding horse. Another notice was the same, a line of credit, except it dealt with a potions maker in an apothocary in Riverbend.

This was actually turning out well, Janno said. He wished he had his friend back, but he was being left some many different things.

He dug deeper into the chest. It looked like was just coins and paper until his finger brushed on something metallic. That DEFINITELY wasn't coin. Curious, Janno parted the papers and get a look at this item.

What is the item?
