Transported away to unknown place

Randy, in his smoke form, is pulled away from the earth and goes through a small, spinning black portal. The portal warps him through some kind of rainbow-colored channel, all the way until he stops at a white room.

The room is filled with nothing, all empty white space around him as far as he sees. He then starts to transform from his current smoke form to his normal human form, while a bright blue wisp descends from the sky.

"Welcome to the kernel, Player !" The wisp says. The voice seems to come out from nowhere, because the entity doesn't really have a physical body to make any sound.

"Wait, kernel ? What is it ? Does it mean...I'm dead ?" Randy said. He still has no idea what is going on and where he is right now. He only sees a room like this on TV shows and cartoon series, kind of like the silly future thing from Spongebob. The only difference is, he doesn't actually misclicked a time machine.

"I am a visual representation of that program responsible for your existence in this world. Answering your question, the kernel is, as simple as I can put it, the deepest area of an operating system. You see, player, our program has brought your conciousness into this application, and also gave you your various powers while you traverse the contents of the application. In this case, the application is what you call 'Mortal Kombat'." The wisp explained.

"The reason why you are brought here is a simple defense mechanism from the system, which tries to self-correct any system malfunction. You probably recognized this mechanism from your earlier adventure, which overrides the normal script to prevent you from altering the application any further."

"So that blue thing is basically the game's antivirus ?" Randy asks.

"Self-correcting mechanism does not always involved virus software, but in general, you are correct." The wisp replied. "I am created specifically to help players overcome this mechanism."

"Your consciousness is forever inside the system until the application registered the execution of their script as 'complete'. In other words, you have to finish the game to come back to real world. But since time in this system is irrelevant to real world time, you won't have to worry about aging or other similar time related problems."

"In a few moment, you will be transported back to the game from the beginning. With your powers, do your best to make sure the entire supposed script is running as intended, and collect exploits throughout the game to repel the self-correcting mechanism away." The wisp said.

"Collect exploits ? How did I do that ?" Randy asks again. He needs to be fully prepared to avoid being trapped forever in here.

"Find units or characters marked by this radar." The wisp assembled its essence to create a wrist watch, which shows an arrow and a string of number. "Once the unit is found, proceed to do any activity to that unit that does not involve normal in-game action. I will leave that activity to your imagination. Good luck."

The wisp then slowly disappeared from Randy's eyes, leaving him with the watch from earlier. After wearing it, Randy again pulled by an unknown ****, transforming him to smoke form and transported him back to the place where it all began. Randy arrived once again in Chapter 1, at the courtyard of Outworld.
