Training at the very Edge of the Border for the Land of Wind and Land of Fife

Minato had been put through the same Brutal Training as His Father Had been as a small Child. But slightly different, this Training had been devised by Minato's Grandfather, for only the Truly Exceptional and Powerful. It involved Sage Art Ninjutsu, and a Blindfold. Both his Father and, to a somewhat less Capable Extent, his Godfather, Lord Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage used Sage Art in this.

Because normally, being Blindfolded, will obviously obscure the wearers vision. But Sage Art? It was on a Whole different level, Sage Art was extraordinarily difficult to see even if you were not blindfolded and were a Sensory-Type in your Prime. But Minato had the Rinnegan and the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan at his Disposal and Like All Rinnegan his were Unique, his Left Rinnegan could enable him to use the Same Repulsion and Attraction Jutsu as the Rinnegan Wielding Uzumaki Boy Nagato, one of the Original Trio to founc the Akatsuki and the second and last to die via Suicide. But His Right Rinnegan was Different, with it he could see on many different Spectrums, such as Vibrational, Ultraviolet, X-Ray, Thermal, Infrared, and Heat. As well as to Allow him To Perform a Much More Powerful Form of Amaterasu, which he was able to fuse with the Rasengan and Rasenshuriken.

And the Former ability in his Right eye, was not known to his Father or Godfather, whereas the Latter ability was indeed known. This gave him an edge, which was somewhat a cheating Tactic, but was necessary to prevail in this Instance.

(The Final Training)

The Battlefield was not in fact technically Normal, as far as the sentiment of Normality goes. While it was where it was, Minato's Father had Used Kamui to Manipulate it, he'd surrounded the Field of Battle with a Senjutsu Enhanced Barrier of his own Design, and within it he'd basically rained Sand, Gold Dust, and Iron Sand from the Sky as if it were rain from the Clouds. This was one of the reasons why his Father was Known as Shisui Uchiha of the Three Great Sand Clouds. His Father was an Expert user of Magnet-Style, and could effortlessly Manipulate Sand, Gold Dust, and Iron Sand with Godly Proficiency. Gaara was not so different, he like his Father and Adopted/Foster Brother, the Latter of whom just so happened to be Minato's Father, could do this Feat of Manipulation as well. But in a Less Capable form to Lord Shisui. Minato could do this as well but he was not as nearly as Prodigious as his Father or Godfather.

But he was prepared for it, his Father never held back when it came to Minato's Training.

(Actual Story)

Minato Stood completely still, Immobile, as if Paralysed from the Neck Down. He kept his Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan Active in his Left Eye, and his Normal Sharingan active in his Right. Not effective it may seem but this was something Minato used to Gain Insight into an Opponent. His Eternal Mangekyō had it's Depth of Perception Refined and Carefully Nurtured, so that in spite of the Blindfold he was able to See through just about anything a Intermediate Level and Graded Byakugan could See. He had learned very early on to Adapt to any and All situations. So when his Acute Hearing heard a barely detectable and subconsciously activated twitch in Muscles he knew that it was time. Minato immeadiately Side-Stepped to his Left before Leaping backwards to first avoid Gaara's Sand Stream and then his Father's Tunnelling strike. He immeadiately Made the Necessary Hand Signs and Performed His Scalding Mists Jutsu and Dissappeared into Many Shadow Clones. He was prepared for the Next Stage.

(Aftermath)

Minato Had Nearly killed himself winning the Battle, but that was the whole Point in the First Place. If he wasn't prepared to put his life on the Line to defeat His Father. Now he just had to go to the Konoha Hospital to get Stitched Up and would begin the Exams following that.
