You head deeper into the forest looking for trainers to battle. You come across a bug catcher, and easily defeat him and his 6 metapods, as your Charmander is a fire type. Near the edge of the forest, by the entrance to Pewter city, you see a cute girl trainer.
You decide to challenge her to a battle and toss out your Charmander.
