Traditions

"So are you excited for what Santa's gonna bring you?" Tara teased Sarah after dinner sitting next to Sarah close enough to playfully shove her into Jill. Sarah ignored her as she sat in the living room with Jill holding her hand in the dark room. Tom sat in the recliner beside the couch. Her heart pounded as her mother came in sitting in her chair and watching It's A Wonderful Life as they had done since Sarah was a little girl. In the dark Sarah smiled, she believed it was too dark their hands covered and her family too distracted to see her resting her head on Jill's shoulder. She would never tell any of them how she dreamed of this day when she was younger. Her soulmate and her family together. She sighed a sigh only the truly content could ever achieve. In the dark Tara rolled her eyes, her big sister would no doubt out herself any day if she kept this up.

Jill gingerly carried Sarah to her bed careful not to hit her head on the door. One of the "traditions" was Sarah always falling asleep watching It's A Wonderful Life. Sarah moaned as she was placed in her bed. "Yeah like clockwork." her mother laughed from the door. "Thank you for carrying her, I really hate to wake her." "No problem." she said as Leslie left the room. "Don't go." Sarah moaned half awake. Her tired face stared up at Jill. Jill thought for a moment before closing the door to Sarah's room and sliding into bed next to her. "Smart choice." Jill snuggled close to Sarah feeling her use her breast as a pillow. If she wasn't so innocent she'd swear she's doing this on purpose.
