Tori enters the hallway.

Tori's barefoot landed on the dark carpet, smashing a half-eaten potato chip into several pieces.

“Ugh!”

She wiped her toes against her ankle. The debris fell. Carefully, she walked towards the hallway.

The hallway was ordinary and short: Just two closed doors at the back opposite one another, and at the nearest end (her side), an opening to the kitchen. Tori peered into the kitchen and saw no one.

“Okay, guys, where are you? Hello?”

Tori approached the two doors. First she put her ear to the door on the left and heard the familiar plip-plop, plip-plop of loose water from a faucet.

Then she placed her ear to the door on the right and heard an indiscernible series of random thuds.

“What is that...?”

Curiosity got the best of her. She set her hand on the doorknob and turned it slowly.
