To your new office!

You decide to dress and go to your new office right away, you could use a shower but Madison being in there was almost certain to devolve into another rutting session. When you arrive on the 5th floor and step out of the elevator you see it's divided into two sections, the one on the right is labeled R&D and looks like a high tech lab while the area on the left looks like offices you would see in a prestigious law firm. You reach the 5008 and enter the room to find a very unusual office.

You are stunned and not sure if you're in the right place, there is a desk that seems to be where a secretary would work and behind it a luxurious reception area.

At the end of the room, there is a conference room with a glass table that has computer screens for each seat. There is a locked door on the right with a fingerprints reader and a slot where you guess your keycard would fit in, Madison told you there was a datapad for you on your desk so you assume that you have access to the room which is again pretty damn scary. You arrived here a little bit less than 12 hours ago and they not only already have your fingerprints but also had it incorporated with their security system. When you slide the card in and put your hand on the pad there is a loud unlocking sound and the door slide open to reveal your office.

You again feel like you're in the wrong room but the fact that it opened for you indicate otherwise, you're not too shabby with computers but this is clearly overkilling it for your skills in that department. It looks like something you would expect to see in a CIA operation room and far away from what you would expect from a security office regardless of how successful or secretive a company is.

After quickly skimming through the datapad you found you are startled to find that every employee including Madison has a tracking chip implanted in their hips, you can't fathom why anyone would be fine with getting tracked like a dog and you realize they probably expect you to get implanted too.

You see an icon on the desk computer that matches what you saw while looking through the tablet and when you press on it a list of the staff pop up, you find Madison name and press on it. Immediately you realize this is much more than just a tracking device, there is a complete real-time health monitoring, a slew of information about Madison life and even a list of appointments and places she should be in the near future. You spot a prompt to activate the tracking of her chip and decide to see just how invasive this tracking system really is.

As soon as you press the prompt the bigger screens in the room start displaying security feeds from dozens of cameras, four of them are in Madison's office while all the others are from the surrounding area of her office. The system also starts to tag everyone coming into view and display a threat level based on individual capability and the information the system has on them, right now there is only 1 yellow alert coming from a man. A few seconds later the central screen focus on him and starts displaying every information it can find on him, soon more and more information comes into focus before the box tagging him turn green and stops focusing the apparently dismissed threat,

You start to have a bad feeling about this job and more importantly this security system, no computer can analyze a threat that quickly or at least none that you ever encounter before. Although technologies were never your area of expertise in your time with the military you certainly saw some of the most impressive systems out there and nothing came close to this level of speed and autonomous decision making. You hope your instincts are wrong but decide to test your theory about all of this.

" ... Computer, why did you decrease the threat level for Marshal Reid." You're really hoping to just look stupid but soon your instincts proved to be right again.

"After analysis, mister Reid reason for being on the 5th floor was cleared, he has an appointment with Miss Love regarding further investment with the company. Do you wish to review the relevant information Commander?" A female disembodied voice answers your question in a pleasant and even tone..............................
