To the hot springs!

Even though your destination is Fuchsia City, you can’t help but feel like you should stick around for a while. Lavender Town has lots of great stuff to make it a worthwhile stay. Like… that mobile home park over there. Or that closed down gas station across the street. Or the huge pile of debris across town from a tower that used to hold a bunch of graves. The real place to be, though, is the hot springs in the center of town. You forget how you heard about it, probably from reading a magazine or something. With no further deliberation, you march to Lavender Town’s hot springs in order to enjoy a nice, relaxing time.

You walk to the hot springs and step inside, only to see your worst nightmare: prices. It’s not free! You try to weigh your options, but the receptionist beckons you forward to the counter, leaving the pricing signs out of sight.

“One adult? That will be $7 please!” she replies cheerfully.

“Right, um, I was still looking at the prices and I might need to reconsider…” Despite your verbal waffling, your hand has already retrieved your wallet from the pocket of your daisy dukes and is handing $7 to the woman. Why are your body and mind both acting so weird? You definitely didn’t come here to go to the hot springs. You didn’t mean to come to Lavender Town at all! Yet, here you are, and considering your precious money is already in a cash register, you might as well enjoy yourself a bit.

Money Lost: $7, Total: $25

“Men’s side is on the left, women’s on the right.” She stares intently at your chest before adding, “And be sure to grab one of the large towels. I don’t think our standard size would cover it, if you know what I mean.” She turns her gaze back to the computer monitor on her desk.

You thank her, then move to the women’s side of the hot springs. Or at least, that’s what you try to do. Instead, your body walks off to the men’s side! Wait a minute, what’s going on here!? This isn’t what you want at all!

No matter how many times you send the signal to your legs to stop walking, they continue on to the men’s side of the hot springs. You enter the changing room, which is thankfully empty, and place all your clothes in one of the footlockers. Nude in the men’s-only side of ANYWHERE? What is wrong with you!?

Ignoring the advice you were given earlier, you don’t grab a large towel. You don’t even grab a standard towel. All you grab is a hand towel, which is clearly not up to the task of protecting your modesty. Holding it up to your torso, you find that it barely covers your nipples and crotch, but nothing else. As alarm bells go off in your head to warn you that this is a terrible idea, you march out to the water, feeling like a fresh steak walking into a lion’s den.
