To the gift shop!

"How about we hit the gift shop?" Adela says.

"Lead the way."

Adela takes you to the gift shop, which flaunts merch featuring the latest residents of the zoo. You know that there's a 0% chance of you leaving without something, and the two of you agree on a pair of shirts that read 'This is my Otter shirt', in addition to a few otter figures that Adela will soon have on display in her apartment. Ever eager to please your girlfriend, you again offer to pay for everything, for which she gives you a kiss. After the purchase, the two of you put on your new tops and take a photo that will make for a cute picture on Instagram.

Back in the Carney's Camry, Adela looks at the clock, which reads 2:04. She then turns to you and says "Guess we should head back."

"Think you're parents are getting nervous?"

"Nah, they trust me, but I can't really think of anything else to do today."

Your face lights up with a wolfish smile. "Not in public."

Adela giggles. "All in good time, Pet."

She then starts the engine as you say "Well, maybe we could go out for dinner later?"

"Well if you do a good enough job, I might be too tired to go out."

"Challenge accepted." You chuckle.

Adela pulls up in her parent's driveway. Inside, you find her parents watching TV, where Mrs. Carney says "Oh. Didn't think you two would be back so soon."

"Yeah we've had enough for today." Adela shrugs.

"Nice shirts by the way." Mr. Carney says.

"Thanks. They've added an otter enclosure to the zoo, so that was exciting."

"Someone was very excited." You interject.

"Sure was." Adela grins.

"So anything else new there?" Mrs. Carney asks.

"Not really."

"You guys wanna stick around for another drink, or do you wanna get home?"

"I'm right." Adela says.

Taking the hint, you say "Yeah I think we might get going. Been a pleasure meeting you two."

"You too dear." Mrs. Carney says. "See you soon."

"Yeah, see you."
