To the bathroom

Mr. Foreman grudgingly carried my suitcase to a guest bedroom. I began to follow, but Danielle stopped me. Her nose seemed to wrinkle a bit. "First, thing's first, John," she told me.

I wondered why she stopped me. Then I remembered. "I need to take a shower. It's awfully hot out there and the air conditioning in my car isn't working."

She smirked at me a bit. "I was just about to suggest that, but for a different reason."

I frowned at her. "What do you mean?"

"Well, would you like some company in the shower?" she asked slyly.
