Jon decided that it was much too early to commit to the Night's Watch just yet. He needed time. Time to live, time to learn, and time to make amends. He would give the Night's Watch his best, not his current self.

He had not been the greatest brother to Sansa, giving much of his attention to Arya, over the years and he thought it prudent to rectify that before she left for King's Landing, lest he be bogged down with regrets and what-ifs.

However, his father's wife, Catelyn, would likely disapprove of him growing close to Sansa, her favourite daughter. Beautiful as she was, Jon seemed to bring out the ugliness within Catelyn, something he would need to deal with before he left.

The third redhead on his mind, Ros, was a whore in Wintertown, rivalling Catelyn in beauty. Guilt had stopped him from getting to know her better, but he needed to get over his problem if he were to be if use to his family.

And with those women on his mind and a brand new day upon him, Jon ventured off the walls of Winterfell.
