To meet her, of course

"I just came here to meet you, Karen," you tell her, hoping she won't get up and walk away from the table upon hearing that.

"Well, I have to say John, that's one of the sweetest things I've heard in a while," she tells you, giving you an at-ease laugh and inviting you to stay and talk to her at the table a little while longer.

"You'll have to leave if the radio station that is supposed to be here actually shows up," she tells you, jotting down her room number in case there is a need to have to pick this up later.

You were just about to leave anyway, since Karen had given you her room number and all, but when you saw the radio station people show up, you made yourself scarce without even telling her that you would be showing up later.

You watch the interview from afar just to see when it would be over, and when it ends, and Karen gets up and walks away, you are relieved to see that that was in fact her last one for the day.

Knowing this, you wonder if you should head for her hotel room or not, or what she led you to believe was her hotel room, at least, because you wonder if she'll even remember you.
