To go home

The girls say little on their way home, yet speak a lot as Amber drives. Amber wonder's if she is carrying Bobby's baby. Karen asks if she is going to be the mother of Jon Smith's baby (she thinks to herself, or is it Kevin's? ...or Bobby's?). Neither girl would consider to get plan B or an abortion as they are tender like that. Karen tells Amber that Bobby is a nice boy and she could do worse. Amber (who worships money) tells Karen she might have hit the jackpot as Jon is the richest kid in their class.

Amber says she feels bad that she doesn't remember the night so well. Being a virgin until last night, she doesn't know if it was any good. Karen, who has some experience, tells her that no matter how much of it you remember, or how good it was, the first time is not the best. Karen tells her it gets better, especially sober, with a boy you love, who loves you.
