To Tease Virginia as much as Possible

Smiling, Sara worked away at her garden, though with much less thought than before. Here she was, just planning on doing a simple bit of gardening, but now she felt like putting on a show. Virginia wasn't exactly the ideal audience, but then Sara wasn't one to turn away a chance like this.

Besides, Sara thought, it'd be fun to finally see some emotion on that gloomy face of hers. She paused for a moment, and then sighed. I'd have to go inside for that, though, and I really was looking forward to spending some time out here. Unless...

Setting her tools down for a moment, Sara glanced up at her house, specifically at the kitchen window. The window was big enough that, from the backyard, Sara could see the entire kitchen table. She was delighted that she could also see Virginia seated at it, staring down at her phone. Whether or not Virginia had chosen to sit there because she had a view of Sara didn't matter; Sara was just glad that she did.

For a moment, Virginia looked up and out into the backyard, only to jolt her head back down when her eyes met Sara's. Her pale face even seemed to get tinted with a little pink, making Sara giggle.
