To English class

Alexa entered the classroom or moreso was paraded inside all the way to the front of the class given no chance to hide from anyone. Alexa’s eyes remained at the floor as she heard snickering. As she was sat down facing the whole class while Charlotte and Heather took their seats in the front.

She looked to see Miss Bolero seated at her desk with a fire in her eyes. “It’s good of you to join us, Alexa. Today, class, we’re going to be doing a different activity than usual. Alexa here is going to read us a story.”

Alexa watched as a small square picture book was placed in front of her. It was one of those ABC books. “P-please,” Alexa cried as she sucked on her pacifier out of anxiety.

“The sooner you begin, the sooner you end do make sure to speak as clearly as possible,” Miss Bolero said. “I will be grading you on your performance.”
