Chapter 8 by jealco

Take the last chance?

Time to leave

Through the veil of tears, you watch as Eddie begins to undress. A small, detached portion of your mind, one unobfuscated by the horror of what was happening, whispered that this was the last chance you would get. You latched onto that thought, your tears stopping as the opportunity became crystal clear.

As Eddie undid his belt, you braced yourself, preparing for that critical instant when you could run. Time seemed to slow, your heartbeat thundering in your ears, as he undid his pants. As they began to fall, you took your chance, turning towards the door and bolting for it.

"What the---." Eddie turns and makes a swipe for you, but his pants tangle around his ankles, and he falls to the floor with a loud thud, as you frantically paw at the door handle. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, you manage to open it, and you launch yourself through it towards freedom.

"Come back here, bitch!" You ignore him, instead focusing on putting as much distance between yourself and him as you can.

Your bare soles slap against the tile floor of the mall, threading a path through the debris with a mind of their own. You risk a glance back, and see Eddie finally make his way out the door of his office, his open shirt framing his gut, and his still-stiff dick peeking out from below it. In his hand, you see the gun he had confiscated from you.

Swearing, you begin to juke, as the first shot cracks from the gun. The round flies harmlessly past you, thudding into the far wall. You put on a burst of speed you never knew you had, bare feet pounding the tile, breasts slapping painfully back and forth, and you round a nearby corner, rounds snapping and hissing as they come far too close for comfort.

You dive into the first store front you can find, streaking past the counters. It's the mall's home-improvement shop. There's plenty of places to hide, including up in the pallet racks they used to store their excess product, and more than a few opportunities to find an improvised weapon, too. You could just keep running out the door, too, and take your chances in the parking lot.

Hide and wait? Find a weapon and fight? Or run for freedom, and hope for the best?
