When Tom snapped his fingers, time froze. He didn't notice it at first, but it became much more obvious as time marched on. One, Seven never responded to any of his calls. The randomly blinking lights on the holographic ship didn't blink. More and more things seem to show that everything was frozen in time.
Which was impossible, since he didn't think there was anything to cause this. He thought to himself to calm himself down, 'It's not like the glove and the gems are real.'
The impossible, implausible idea was laughable on the face of it. Yet, that detail came back in his mind. Over and over again. 'What if they are real? What if they work like I said?
It would mean that I have infinite power. The ability to do anything I want. Could I handle that power without becoming corrupt?'
