Time Starts

After clearing out and humiliating the rest of the guests as well as the Musicians and Catering Staff, the figure returns to Lady Hortence and gives her a mocking bow "Well,my Lady, I must thank you for the hospitality but sadly, I must depart.." With a final kiss on her hand, the figure turns, walks through the frozen crowd and out onto the Veranda again.

A few moments, not that any of the clocks in the room can currently monitor them, pass before the Grand Ballroom is suddenly full of movement and sound again. "-really must tel-URGH!" Lady Hortence cries out as the trifle, now no longer held in suspense, drips down her neck; confused, her ladyship reaches up and slowly removes the trifle bowl from her head.

She feels around and realises, to her horror, her tiara is missing, along with her necklace! Others are starting to notice that they too are missing items of value and in humiliating positions; the flute player attempts to resume her play but is hampered by her sudden involuntary donning of a moose head, the man who sneezed before time stopped resumes but sneezes all over a woman in a red dress and Lady Hortence's Butler finds himself standing in just his bow tie and underpants!

Like I said, if you ever receive an invitation to attend one of Lady Hortence's parties, you should feel honoured but you should also be hopeful it does not turn out like this one..
