Thunder, lightning,then nothing.

A loud boom of thunder followed by a bright lightning flash occurred just as Katie opened the front door.

The girl jumped in shock at the storminess.

As the lightning flashed a second time, she thought that she saw a silhouetted figure standing in the front yard. She looked around on either side and was prepared to close the door when thunder and lightning hit again.

This time during the flash, she was more certain that she DID see a figure,and IT WAS APPROACHING THE DOOR!

She swiftly shut the door, as she did, another cold burst of air swept through the room.

"What's wrong?" Melissa asked, as she saw the horrified look on Katie's face when she returned to the living room.

Catching her breath, and trying not to be scared, Katie sat and calmed down.
"The...storm, it startled me, that's all." she stammered, trying to decpiher what she saw.

Melissa smiled at her. "Now, who is the scaredy-cat?"

"Shut up." Katie replied and suddenly something caught her eye.

"OH MY GOD!" she yelled.
