Three

Lorriane plonked herself on the couch. She was disappointed.

She had been looking forward to going out in the evening. She had spent the moring buying a dress. She thoguht it might be a bit too revealing. She had planned to use that outing to check out whether people liked the dress, to see if people turned their heads to look at her when she walked by or to see if she got any compliments.

She didn't want to wear the dress for the first time in front of her girlfriends. She'd have to find another occasion to test the dress.

She took out her phone. She was frustrated that her husband's boss had made him stay this evening again. She was annoyed. Part of her felt like the boss had done it just to bother her. That angered her and offended her.

Without another thought, she took out her phone and she sent a text message to her husband's boss. She had all of her husband's coworkers' contacts in case of an emergency.

To her surprise, she got an almost immediate reply.

He'd sent a video without context or explanation.

Lorriane was confused. She opened the video.

Her speakers started playing loud moans. She rushed to turn the volume down.

Lorriane gasped to herself.

She regretted sending her last text. She didn't know where that had come from. She would never use that kind of language. But she was so frustrated, she wanted to hurt him back after the disdain he'd shower for her and Bradley.

But she imediately realised she had overstepped. She felt extremely guilty. She wished she could erase the text, or go back 30 seconds in time.

She felt anxious. Her mind raced, trying to find the words to fix things.
