They talk about Taylor’s pregnancy

After having received Thomas’s load on her face, Taylor sits up and looks at herself in a mirror.
“Hmm, looks rather good on me.” Taylor says.
“You like having sperm on you?” Thomas asks.
“My boyfriend’s sperm.” Taylor corrects him. “Sperm is like … a very personal thing for a man to give a girl. For the man I love to give me his most personal possession, yeah, that makes me feel special too.”
Thomas smiles and shakes his head. He leaves the room for a moment, then comes back with a box of paper tissues and hands them to Taylor.
Taylor takes a tissue and starts wiping the sperm off her face.

“Talking about sperm.” Taylor says. “I might still be pregnant with your child.”
“I know.” Thomas says, “I decided to buy a pregnancy test for you on the way back. I know it’s not been two weeks since then so it might give a false negative. But if it gives a positive, at least you won’t have to wonder ‘what if’ anymore.”
Taylor thinks about it, then says, “You’re right, let’s give it a try.”

Thomas hands Taylor the pregnancy stick and guides her to his bathroom.
Taylor sits down on the toilet, holds the stick between her legs and tries her best to pee.
“What am I doing.” She thinks, “A black girl naked in a white man’s bathroom trying to see if I’ve got his child in me. I’m still going to high school for Christ sake. If my dad finds out he will be so disappointed in me.”

When Taylor is done urinating she gets back out, where Thomas is waiting for her. He is still naked too.
Taylor puts the pregnancy test on the kitchen table and starts waiting for the result. Thomas comes standing next to her and puts his arm around her shoulders.
Whatever the result is, they’ll face it together.
