Is he, though?

They say genius comes with madness...

Chapter 95 by tailteller

By the time James caught up with him he had finished an entire bottle. That...seemed bad, too. Nothing seemed okay with this. Would he die? Would he puke?

He'd say back down and grabbed James's game console, tearing it apart. James slumped his shoulders and flopped into the chair across from him in defeat. No way to communicate...and obviously no will to listen. He sat and watched, hoping Nebula wouldn't die.

Nebula had gotten up and scoured James's home several times, and found himself surrounded by cloth, screwdrivers, hammers, steel plates, components from the console and several speakers, the remains of James's phone, and scraps of fabric that had once been James's clothes.

By the time he finished he had two ragged metal orbs with a large screen, three cameras, a microphone, and two speakers installed. He handed one to James and grabbed his finger, putting it on a button on the side that had once been a controller piece.

Nebula walked into the garage and chirped loudly. That must be a signal of some sort...with nothing else to guess at, James pressed the button his finger had been set on. The orb rolled out of his hands and onto the floor. Three cameras we're pointed at him, and the other three skyward. From the screen a half-sized hologram of Nebula in the other room popped up. He shimmered blue and made a series of happy trills. The room around him was visible too, to an extent.

James was impressed, but still concerned. Was this worth the risk to him? Possibly dying to make something? He made his coat flicker yellow again. An irritated chirp came from the orb just after it echoed out from the garage, and Nebula shimmered blue again. He reached down and the holograms shut off. Just as James did the same, there was a knock on the door. Nebula ran to answer it, holding his device with a smile.
