Chapter 12 by Zeke69 Zeke69

What's next?

They run into survivors

It had been a hectic, frightening journey out of the city. They quickly realised that the infected had broken free of the quarantine and overrun the soldiers that had been blockading the roads and bridges out of town, the sight of so many dead bodies churning Jack’s stomach. But there was a hard practicality to Jack that made him swallow back his distaste and pick up a handgun that lay discarded near the dead. After checking that it was loaded, he flicked the safety on and tucked in back of his pants, praying that he would never have to use it.

They raided a gas station on their way out of the city, grabbing what snacks and water they could carry and a few other various items that had been left in the chaos. Kelly grabbed a couple of face masks and put one on. “Just to be safe,” she told him, her voice muffled by the cloth.

It was dark and the city echoed with distant howls and other inhuman sounds, but they managed to make it outside the city limits without being molested.

“If only we had a car,” he bemoaned after they had walked a few miles down the road with the first of the morning light coming down. “It’s gonna get hot and our shoes aren’t the best for a marathon on hard pavement.”

“Oh, it’s not so bad,” Kelly replied, walking with a confident swagger. She found that she had more energy of late, and beneath her clothes her muscles had become slightly toned. “Besides, it’s not like either of us can Hotwire a car.”

Jack grunted. “Even so, next vehicle we see I’m gonna check it for keys.”

They walked almost another mile down the highway before they saw anything remotely resembling life. A tabby cat darted from a scrub on one side of the road over to the other at their approach, moving with hurried annoyance. The sight of it brought Jack a little pulse of hope. Not every animal was susceptible to this damned plague.

“Crazy, isn’t it?”

Jack glanced over at his mom. “Hmm?”

“It’s only been a few weeks, and everything’s fallen apart,” she gestured around the empty landscape, the desolate highway. “Things are a lot more quiet now. People are just…gone. It’s much more peaceful now. Better, maybe.”

“Better?” He frowned at her, “a lot of people are dead! And the ones that aren’t are..”

“Freaks?” She cut him off, her voice hot with emotion.

“Dangerous,” he corrected.

She looked away, perhaps ashamed, and they walked together in silence for another mile.

Eventually the day wore on and the duo found themselves coming upon a farm house just a little off the road. Jack exchanged a glance with his mom, who nodded in turn. He took out the gun, and slowly they approached the house, painful aware of their shoes crunching on the gravel.

The house was old, a classical southern gothic design, but looked lived in and well maintained. A pick up truck sat in an open barn, seemingly in good condition. Horses ate hay in a nearby paddock, and chickens clucked away in a pen. Jack was both excited and worried by how much life was present.

“Woa there!” a stern voice said, and Jack jumped and stared around. “Not a step further!”

A figure emerged from the door of the house. A man of about sixty wearing a ragged flannel shirt, old grey pants…and a rifle pointed directly at them. “Now…I hope you intend no foul play with that pistol, son.”

“Same with you and that rifle,” Jack retorted.

That got a smile from the man, and his face softened a touch. “Just protecting me and mine.”

“We don’t plan on hurting anyone,” Jack gestured to himself and Kelly, “Me and my Mom are just looking for a place to shelter for a while.”

The other looked at them, his brown eyes studying Jack’s face for any hint of deception and then looking at Kelly. Eventually he lowered his rifle. “Boy and his mother out amongst all that madness…you know, you two are the only people I’ve seen in over a week,” he sighed, and approached, hand extended. “Pete West.”

Jack stepped forward and took the outstretched hand. “Jack Rayson, this is my Mom, Kelly.”

“Ma’am,” the farmer smiled faintly, taking note of her face mask, “You won’t need to worry about wearing that, me and my girls are healthy.”

Kelly smiled with her eyes. “I trust you, but it’s for my own peace of mind.”

Pete shrugged. “Suit y’self,” he glanced down the road and then back at his farmhouse. “Come on in, we’ve got room for a couple of strays.”

They followed the farmer into his home, where four women were standing. The eldest, clearly the mother of the family, was a tall and matronly figure, with auburn hair that had just started to go grey. The younger two were quite different. One had her mother’s auburn hair, wore a t-shirt and jeans cut off so short that they were little more than denim panties, while the other was brunette, bespectacled, and dressed modestly. All of them watched the newcomers with wariness and curiosity.

“This is my family,” he gestured to older woman, “My wife, Ava,” the redhead, “my daughters…Annabelle,” the brunette, “and Kathy. Girls, this is Jack and Kelly. They’ll be staying with us for a spell.”

“Pleasure,” Ava said, with a smile that didn’t reach her eyes.

Annabelle looked Jack up and down approvingly, and shot him a grin, while Kathy offered a friendly-if awkward- wave.

“Thank you so much for this,” Kelly said, “we’ve been walking for days and it’s been crazy.”

“I imagine so, before the tv cut out we were getting all sorts of horrible reports coming in from the city,” Ava shook her head, looking grim, “absolute insanity. We’re lucky to be isolated out here, away from people.”

That sparked a wave of curiosity in Jack. “So the tv’s out, what about the internet? Is there any kind of coverage or news with the rest of the country?”

It was Kathy who answered. “Internet and wi-fi are gone, but we do still get radio broadcasts now and then. They’ve got the entire state under a hard quarantine, while they figure shit out,” she looked at Kathy, “you can take that mask off by the way. The broadcast from a couple of days ago said that the virus had mutated, it’s now transmitted by bodily fluids instead of being airborne.”

Jack and Kelly exchanged a glance, and hesitantly she pulled down the covering to free her nose and mouth.

“I figure, we hole up until this thing burns itself out,” Pete told them. “We’ve got enough supplies to last here for a while, and eventually the army’ll come in and start mopping things up. We just gotta keep our heads down. And you’re welcome to stick around,” he slapped Jack on the arm, “ and I could use another guy around to help with the chores.”

They shared a laugh and then were shown their rooms. It was a big house and they had room enough to fit a dozen people if they wanted. Jack practically collapsed onto the bed in his room, and stared at the ceiling. Maybe they could be safe here.

Across the hall in her own room Kelly was feeling stressed. Ever since they had entered the house and met the West family, she had felt herself becoming painfully erect. She couldn’t help but look at the three women and take note of how pretty they all were, wondered how their bodies would feel. That one little slut, Annabelle, was eyeing off Jack like a piece of meat and the thought of that was strangely arousing to Kelly.

She closed her eyes and imagined her son fucking the little whore, bending her over the kitchen table and jamming his cock deep into her hungry little cunt. But as the scene went on, it began to shift in her mind’s eye, she began to imagine herself fucking that young woman, making her scream…

Her hand went to her girthy length and began to jerk off as she imagined Annabelle fucked silly, then that nerdy sister of hers fucked sideways, squealing and begging for cum, and then that old bitch of their mother. She would jam her cock deep into that milf’s ass and clog her guts with thick cum…before she knew it, Kelly had shot a thick wad of cum onto the floor, searing hot and swimming with futa-cells.

With a sigh she began to clean it up, but the fire in her loins hadn’t fully died out.

The story continues…
