They met a young fan.

The guests and staff in the hotel lobby stared, clapped, and cheered at the group of Asians wearing blue NASA flight suits as they walked towards the elevators.

"Are we celebrities?" Leah gushed, waving back excitedly.

"I don't think so," Jade shrugged. "Most Angelenos don't care about celebrities since they're a dime a dozen here."

"They're probably tourists," Crystal chimed in while she and her sisters smiled and waved like a beauty pageant contestants.

"Are you really astronauts?" a young girl with blonde pigtails shyly asked, approaching the group with her mother.

"Technically no, we just work for NASA," Lauren replied back with a smile, pointing at the logo patch above her right breast.

"But my son is an astronaut!" Iris beamed, dragging Jonathan over to meet the girl.

"Hi," Jonathan smiled, kneeling down to talk to the young girl. "What's your name?"

The girl looked back at her mother for approval before answering, "Sally."

"Hi, Sally, I'm Jonathan." He offered his hand to shake hers. "How old are you?"

"Eight... but I'll be nine next month," she answered proudly.

"Do you want to be an astronaut when you're older?" he asked.

"Yes," she nodded, "but I would like a doctor too!"

"He is a doctor!" Iris chirped, patting Jonathan on his shoulder.

"Mom..." Jonathan muttered as he reached into his garment bag for the NASA Vector logo lapel from his suit jacket.

"You're a doctor and an astronaut?!" Sally gasped, looking up at her mother as if to check with her it was possible.

"And a Navy SEAL!" Iris added, grinning at Sally's mother.

"Oh my gosh! Wow!" Sally stared at Jonathan with bewilderment.

"You can be anything you want to be if you are willing to put in the hard work," Jonathan smiled as he pinned the lapel on her blouse. "My crewmates are doctors, scientists, engineers..."

"... and a programmer," Zoe interjected as she typed on her phone.

"Would you want a photo with them, honey?" Sally's mother asked her daughter.

"Yes, mommy!" the girl cheered.

"We would be delighted too!" Lauren smiled and gathered the crew around the little girl to let the mother take photos with her phone and then selfies with Sally and each crew member.

"Are you going into space?" Sally asked, looking at the pin.

"Hopefully one day," Jonathan smiled at her as he stood up. "But for now, we're going to get ready for dinner!"

"Nice meeting all of you!" Sally waved as the group headed to the elevators.
