They manipulate someone into releasing them

Later that night Regan visited the room where Madelyne was keeping the bugs. Ever since she pushed them out she has been curious about them. Those things that were inside her for a week.
When she enters the room there is nobody there. Just the bugs in their glass containers. Had green chitinous shells and six legs. They are crawling up the sides of the glass, trying to find a way out. They wouldn’t be able to. Those glass containers are well sealed with metal lids. She still can’t figure out why these had two tails. Didn’t the ones that attack her a week ago have only one tail?
Suddenly Regan hears a voice from her left saying, “Help me.”
Regan looks at where the voice is coming from. There she sees a child, trapped in a glass prison banging its fists on the glass.
“Please help!” The child yells. “They have captured me! I don’t want to be captured! I want to be free!”
“Me too!” Regan hears from her right.
There is another captured child. And another, and another. About twelve of them. All of them are banging against the glass, begging for her to save them.
Regan might not be a hero but she is definitely no monster. The reaches for a panel next to the tubes and unlocks the tubes. How did she know the code again? Whatever, at least these children are now free.
Regan smiles as she sees the kids run out of the door to freedom. Except for one.

The Hylax is relieved. He could only guess what these hosts would have done to him and his brethren. Luckily the host he had nested in returned and was able to use his new ability on her. Since she helped release him and his brothers it would be rude to leave her without a parting gift.
