They made it

Just as Ari was about to surrender to temptation, the sound of footsteps and laughter echoed from the direction of the house. Her eyes flew wide with panic as she realized Joe and Tyler were heading back outside. In a flash, she pulled away from Jake, scrambling to sit up and adjust her bikini top with shaking hands.

“There you are, babe!” Joe called out cheerfully as he rounded the corner, Tyler trailing behind him. “We've been looking all over for you. Ready to head home soon?”

Ari's heart raced as she tried to compose herself, praying her flushed cheeks and dilated pupils wouldn't give away what she'd been up to mere seconds before. She plastered on a bright smile, hoping it looked more genuine than it felt.

“Y-yeah, I was just... um... waiting for you…”
