They lounge on the banks

After they got the rest of their equipment out from the doomed X-Wing, both Luke and Artoo wandered off to the banks off the swamp - hoping to clean off any dirt and grim from their clothes. The youth was downcast about his situation and could only hope that something better would come along soon. Ideally this Yoda character that Ben told him about.

Artoo suddenly beeps as they get closer.

"You think you saw something in the water," Luke repeated the droid's statement aloud, gripping his blaster with his right hand. The young Jedi Knight made sure to take a quick survey of the entire marsh - and while they heard many disturbing sounds and shadows, none came from the water itself. He put away his blaster and continued walking ahead. "C'mon, Artoo, there is nothing here."

The droid let out a low whistle of apprehension as he followed his master. Both man and droid made their way to the edge of the water and stopped, Skywalker sitting down on a grassy patch of land just above the brown liquid. He took off his jacket and placed it to his side, pulling out a washcloth from his pocket and dipping it into the water. "You're lucky that you're easy to clean up," Luke joked, wiping off all the grime and muck on his little friend. "I'm gonna be out here all day with my pilot uniform."

Artoo let out a loud siren - a long tentacle with a gigantic eye at the end peered out from the depths, attacking the droid so swiftly that Luke didn't even have time to react. The droid protested and struggled as best he could but the creature wrapped itself around Artoo and sprang him up into the air - sending him flying and flying past them both before crashing with a heavy thud.

"You just made a big mistake!"

Luke knelt down for his belt to grab a weapon to take on the monster.
