They give up and move on

Eventually, after a long and fruitless search, the party had to admit that they had no chance of finding their stolen belongings. None of them had any forestry or tracking skills, and a few splinters in their feet made any sort of pursuit infeasible. Finally, they found themselves at the edge of the forest ready to enact Plan B.

"We will need to resupply and continue on our quest," Aurora said. There was a village nearby where they could find clothes, food, and, hopefully, weapons, armor, and other equipment.

"But, like this?" Fiora asked, blushing. "W-we can't go down to the village naked! They'll see us!"

"If it makes you feel any better," Rose said, pinching Fiora's bottom, "I bet that whoever swiped our stuff has been watching us in our birthday suits this whole time."

Fiora jumped and swatted at Rose's hand. "That doesn't help at all!"

"Regardless," Fiora said, "we've wasted enough time in this forest as it is, and we haven't made any progress. Returning to civilization will be shameful in the state we are in, but only briefly. After we acquire clothing, we'll be able to move about far more easily."

The rest of the party nodded in agreement. The only question that remained was, who to send?
