They get a light lunch at the cafe

As Melissa loaded the new bags into the trunk of the car, she turned to the others.

"I think we've earned a break, there's a great cafe at the other end of the lot." Lissa suggested.

"Great idea, Liss." Darla said.

Kyle's stomach grumbled at the mention of food, which the girls noticed.

"I think Kylie's game for lunch." Robin laughed.

As the girls started to head towards the cafe, Kyle tried to plead his case.

"Aren't we going a little too far with all this? I mean, it's just one party that we were invited to by some random guy at the mall! I don't need all this! I certainly don't need that thong and that... thing!" Kyle insisted.

"Come on, Kylie! If you don't start using that stuff now, you'll never learn!" Darla replied.

Though Kyle didn't particularly want to learn. In fact, anything he learned over this summer was never going to be relevant to him ever again. Even sooner if Sam can manage to get MARCI to cooperate.

Once they arrived at the cafe, the girls found a table and started to browse the menu. Kyle was in the middle of deciding when his menu was pulled from his manicured hands and Darla ordered for him.

"She'll have the spinach and kale salad with the balsamic glaze." Darla said. As if anticipating your dissension, she said, under her breath, "Trust me, you don't want to eat heavy after our workouts."

Kyle wasn't happy about it, but he was too hungry to argue with Darla. The girls were quick to discuss all their plans for the forthcoming party, and their plans for Kylie, ensuring that she'd have a wealth of stories to tell at summer's end.

The salad wasn't half bad, and Kyle remarked as such, causing a ping from the phone, with Kyle knowing that he'd be having that salad an awful lot over the coming summer.

Once they were back in the car, heading towards home, Melissa remarked:

"Since we did the gym and shopping, I think it's time to..."
