They fight!

Janet dove behind a pillar moments before Recoil blasted her enhanced gun. Unfortunately, these were no regular bullets. The blast super heated the pillar, causing it to glow with energy, then explode in a fiery blast. Janet fell back, covering her face from the heat and blast. She looked up, dazzled in time to see Cutlass slashing down at her with both glowing blades. Janet crawled backwards, barely avoiding a slash coming. Janet kicked out with her bare foot. Her foot caught Cutlass in the chin, sending her flying ten feet back.

Recoil stepped up to cover her teammate. She fired another blast at Janet. Janet was launched by the explosion, falling behind an abandoned and smoldering cop car. Her jeans were shredded below the knees and her shirt was littered with singed holes. She groaned, struggling to rise. She was totally disoriented.

Recoil used the moment to help Cutlass up.

"You okay?" She asked her partner.

"Ugh... I'm fine." Cutlass groaned, rubbing her chin. "This new armor held, but she still practically took my head off!"

"Well, let's finish her off." Recoil said. She stepped forward as Cutlass swung her swords, eager to get **** on Janet..
