Chapter 26

What will it be then?
They could as well get it done right away
"Well, let's go then?" Jack suggested, while pointing his daughter back up the stairs to her room. She couldn't have that many boxes that needed carrying after all, or so he thought at least, so he figured they could as well get it done before they stopped for a break.
As it turned out he was quite correct in his assumption, but somehow it seemed like Jennifer had managed to stuff a whole bookcase worth of things into just a couple of large, and now rather heavy set of cardboard crates. Just lifting one of them made him wonder how she'd ever believed that she'd be able and get them up to their attic by herself, which was something he also decided to ask her about.
"Well, I didn't think they'd get this heavy..." She excused herself, in her usual timid manners, and looked like she really didn't want to give him any trouble. "I guess we could just repack them into smaller boxes...?"
"Nah, I think it's fine like this." Her father sighed, as he knew that it would take them even longer just to find another set of boxes, and then to repack them as well. So he decided to try and lift one up the ladder by himself, as he figured that Jennie would mostly just get in his way if she tried to help, but was **** to give up when he realized how difficult it was to get such a large item through the narrow hatch leading up to the attic.
With a little help he managed to push it up the ladder at least, but as for the next one he decided it was better for one of them to climb up the ladder first, to pull it up the last few inches and put it in place. And as he was the taller of them, not to mention he was a lot stronger as well, it was quickly settled that Jennifer would be the one going up.
Once again it proved a bit difficult for Jack to keep his eyes off the girl's fine bottom however, while she climbed up the folding ladder, and he couldn't help from noting how her sweatpants clung to her shapely buttocks every step she climbed. In face she could as well have been nearly naked, considering how the garment revealed every detail of her figure, even if the same didn't quite apply to her crotch.
Still the sight was more than enough to put another couple of inappropriate images into Jack's mind, which he'd much preferred to avoid, and it didn't get better when he climbed the same ladder himself with the second of Jennifer's boxes, as he nearly bumped his face into the girl's ample chest. He wasn't even sure how she thought it was a good idea to bend down over the hatch when she knew he was coming, but instead of helping him she almost made him stumble and fall back to the floor.
"Oh, I'm sorry!" She mumbled when she watched him regain his balance on the steps, though Jack could've sworn that she was struggling to keep from laughing. It was a bit rare to see though, and she really was a lot cuter when she smiled like that, so he couldn't really get mad with her either. He did make sure that she went further back into the attic before he tried again however, but just as he pushed up the box to the hatch he could hear her stumbling over something in the dark up there.
"I'm fine, I'm fine!" She quickly called out when he tried to ask her, and this time he was certain she could barely hold back from giggling out loud. Apparently she wasn't just laughing at others bad luck at least, but seemed genuinely amused when he got so far up that he could see her sitting on the floor just beside the hatch. "I just remembered how afraid I used to be of this place when I was a kid..."
"I bet Catherine tricked you to believe there was monsters up there." Jack nodded, as he vaguely remembered how Jennie had always refused to get up on the attic when they did any cleaning like this, though it didn't explain why she was laughing about it right now. Perhaps she was simply happy to have braved her own fears, or something like that, unless she was merely trying to calm her own nerves. "Just tell me if you need help to get down."
"No, I'm fine!" The girl insisted, but still stayed close to the hole while her father went back down to fetch the last two of her boxes. Eventually they'd managed to get all of them up to the storeroom at least, and Jack was **** to admit that he'd probably not been able to do it all on his own. How Jennie had believed to make it on her own remained a mystery, but then again he didn't care to ask her too much about it.
The whole thing took a bit longer than he'd thought though, and by the time they were done they realized they could as well get started with lunch, so that it was finished in time for the others to finish with the pool...
Does that mean they're nearly done for today then...?

Girls of Jack
One man's world has been turned upside down, but he may find hope in the most unexpected places.
A story which I hope to work on when I have the time for it. For now it's closed for others, but I'll gladly accept ideas and suggestions for how to improve or continue the story! I've now started adding conditions, which is how I planned it from the start. So far it's recommended to read without activating the play function, but please try it out if you want, and let me know if you find something odd about the scoring.
