Chapter 37
by FallenSaint
How do their missions go the next day?
They all start ok...
The next morning, everyone on the team set out for their part of the assignment. Rondo and Mason wouldn't be meeting the **** victims for at least another hour, so they headed for breakfast. A young man assigned by Bishop Beldan had arrived that morning and led Rose off to an entrance to the catacombs. With the city built over a sunken fortress, the catacombs were a labyrinth with many entrances, both known and unknown. Without a guide, Rose would be hopelessly lost.
Once everyone else on the team was gone, Venus went to Larissa's room and found the woman already in the process of putting on her dress. She was stripped naked and wearing only a set of red lace panties. When Venus entered the room, the girl blushed deep crimson and looked away, her cat ears twitching nervously. Larissa certainly was beautiful. Her full young tits were nearly as big as Venus's and her hips were perfect.Venus walked over and tossed her own cloths on Larissa's bed and began helping her get the dress on. It took a few minutes, but soon Larissa was looking striking in the red dress. Venus applied some make up and then Larissa pulled a pair of red satin gloves out of a drawer and put them on. Venus gave the normally shy girl a quizzical look.
"I thought about what you said. To believe in you and that you would protect me. So I decided to go back to the store and buy some matching gloves."
Larisa pulled on the gloves and Venus quite happy with them. They went up to Larissa's elbow and gave the girl a much classier look. After Larissa was finished dressing, they worked on getting Venus's own outfit on. When they were done, Larissa stepped back, still blushing a little as she looked Venush up and down.
"Wow. Just wow. I think if I was a little braver, I would hire you myself."
"After this is over, I could give you a taste for free if you like," Venus said with a sly smile. Larissa blushed even deeper but gave a slight nod that made Venus feel a rush of heat through her body. It had to have taken about an hour for them to get changed all together so they were running a little late. Venus was a little bothered by that because now they had to hurry. If they had been on time, she might have thought about seeing how far her shy partner was prepared to go. With a sigh, she led her companion out of the room and down the stairs. Once in the main part of the Lounge, they turned quite a few heads. Some she worried might have broken their necks trying to get a better look. Glancing at Larissa, she saw that her friend was still blushing, but a smile also hinted on her lips.
"This is the closest entrance to where we need to be."
"This? It looks like a normal sewer grate to me," Rose answered her guide. He was a large, muscular man with short hair and a silver sword at his side. This marked him as one of the church's Battle Priests. They were a special order who specialized in fighting demons and the undead. Rose found it odd that the Church would need to hire Hunters to police their own back yard. Especially if this man was a strong as he looked.
The man in question didn't say anything about her thoughts on the entrance he had pointed out and instead simply walked over and pulled it up and motioned for her to enter. She found a ladder leading down into a dark corridor and began her slow descent. The man lit a torch and quickly followed. It was dark and gloomy in the corridor and Rose couldn't help feeling a little scared.
"S-so, what's your name," She asked, trying to forget the darkness that was closed in around them. She was actually a little curious why he hadn't introduced himself other than saying he was sent by the Bishop. The big man glanced her way and then gave a gruff answer.
"Stoaks. Martin Stoaks."
Rose tried a few more times to start up a conversation, but Martin refused to say more than a few words. He led her deep into the labyrinth, through winding corridors, a large room that looked like it was some kind of old dining hall, and finally to a room full of dusty old books. Rose looked around unsure where she needed to look first.
"There at the back wall. Should be something useful."
Rose nodded and made her way to the back of the room as Martin lit a lantern on a table near the room's center. She was deep in though, looking at labels above old scrolls and tomes to see if anything might be useful. That was when Martin quietly shut and locked the door.
Rondo and Mason where getting along great. Their "Breakfast" had been a stop by a nearby bar for a few early drinks before setting out for their job. Rondo knew it was probably not the best idea before working, but Mason's mischievous ways were infectious. He had allowed the man to lead him to a nice little bar and both had a pint of ale before setting out.
They had quickly become friends the day before. Mason was a very accomplished Hunter and had heard a lot about the Beast Tracker that Rondo had married. It had brought about quite a long talk with Mason very curious how a Werewolf had managed to land the best Were-Hunter the Shadow Hunters had. When Rondo gave him the full and honest truth, Mason couldn't help but laugh. After that they had traded off stories of their conquests and even how Rondo had managed to get two wives. The only surprising thing was that Larissa wasn't mentioned among Mason's numbers. When asked about it, Mason simply told Rondo that "She means to much to me to be just another number." Rondo left it at that. He had a feeling that if Larissa asked, Mason would stop chasing waitresses in bars and settle down with her in an instant.
The place where they were meeting the **** victims was a small chapel that the church rarely used anymore. They were greeted outside by a beautiful young blonde in initiate robes. Had the men been at the church the day before with their female companions, they might have recognized her as the who had taken them to the Bishop in the first place. She seemed fairly cheerful when she greeted them, but something felt off to Rondo. His ears were picking up sounds of women giggling inside the building and he could smell arousal, both from the young woman in front of them and from inside the chapel.
"Miss," Rondo started, but the girl interrupted him.
"Please, call me Winlay"
"Er, Winlay. Right. This is where we are meeting the **** victims, correct?" Rondo noticed the look Mason gave him. The other Hunter obviously didn't know where Rondo was going with this line of questioning.
"Yes sir, this is it. I have all twelve women here ready for you."
Rondo looked to Mason and gave a nod. He hoped Mason realized that something was up, but they allowed Winlay to lead them into the church.
"And this is the blue room. We use it to entertain several clients at once who are in the mood for a party mood. It is usually three or four woman working the room with up to ten men. It can be rather.... Chaotic at times."
Venus and Larissa had made it to the brothel and were being shown around by the Madam. She was a beautiful woman in her late thirties that had been in the business for quite some time. She had immediately been willing to let the two start working at her brothel and started showing them around. The place wasn't set to open for at least another two hours so the pair still had time to do some searching.
Venus looked around the "Blue Room" and really didn't know why it was called that. Most of the furniture was a pink color and the carpet was a deep red. The walls were cream colored and what wasn't any of those three shades was made of oak. Chairs, couches, and even a padded table were scattered around the room and Venus could only guess at the things that had gone on in the room. Ten men with only three or four women? That meant a lot of sharing.
After being shown the blue room, the Madam finally let them go, having already shown them the rooms they would use for single clients. Both were very lovely and well decorated and supplied, but Venus wanted to be out of the brothel before someone came up with an excuse to make her or Larissa use them. Together Venus and Larissa began looking around the brothel. It was actually quite large considering it was located in Fyrona's holy land. Most of the rooms were very colorful and the women working the place seemed nice enough. Most were currently getting ready for the clients to start arriving, laughing and comparing clients from the previous day.
The search seemed to be turning up nothing but then Venus noticed a door leading into a basement. When they went to search they found it full of props, ropes and other toys, and even some crates full of cloths. It was near the back of the room where Larissa found it. It was a door, locked and sealed. It was clearly old and made of stone. Venus felt it had to be an entrance into the catacombs. But what would be down there?
"Still familiarizing yourself with the place," Asked a voice from behind the women. They both spun and found the Madam looking at them with a large smile on her face.
"Yes ma'am, we were checking out the basement. We found all these interesting props and were trying to decide how to use some of them tonight," Venus lied, while Larissa nodded in agreement.
"Oh well don't worry too much about that my dears. As it turns out, you both already have a client. He is quite well known here and one of the few who has privileges even when we are not open. He came in just now asking for... Oh how did he put it.... The new entertainers that had come in. He's been with just about everyone here, so I'm not surprised he wanted something new. Not sure how he knew you had arrived though. So now he's waiting in the Queen Veanna room. I need both of you to please hurry there now."
With that the Madam turned and headed for the stairs, leaving the Hunters to stare at each other in shock. Venus knew they had found at least some evidence with the old stone door, but that didn't offer much. If they wanted, they could probably just leave now and come back later with the others or even some of Beldan's battle priests to continue the search. But something was bothering Venus. Who was this client and how did he seem to know that Venus and Larissa were there? She wanted to find out the truth behind this.
Does Venus suggest seeing the client or leaving? How does Rondo's team do? Is Rose safe?
