They all meet back up

Author's Notes: So this is a pretty long chapter that is just the groups coming back together. Btw I love feedback, so leave a comment about anything, whether it's just you're opinion of the chapter, or my writing style or if you have any ideas for what's to come! Sadly this story isn't nearly as popular as Audrey's Bet, but this one is going to be better. My writing should be slightly better at least, with my characters being a little more fleshed out. So yeah!

Nick and Katie walk back into the house through the front door, shivering from the cold. Taking off their coats and shoes, they are met back again with loud music to their ears and the reality that they are at a house party. They both head over to the kitchen to see where the others are.

"Well that was fun." Katie says, holding her elbows and shivering from the cold outside weather, "I really appreciate it."

"Absolutely, anytime." Nick smiles down towards the still unfamiliar girl. He didn't mean a word of it, and they both knew that that was the first time someone else was in that car, and it was the last. Nothing against Katie, Nick just still preferred to keep his girl to himself, referencing Jessica and his car, "Oh yeah, where's everyone else?"

"I have no clue, let's see if we can find them." Katie says, finally starting to warm up. She starts off towards the living room, with Nick right behind they planned to regroup their friends. It's only been maybe an hour so no one should of died yet from **** poisoning.

Katie is the first in the room, she sees Jake and Audrey still cuddling on a couch on one side of the room. She heads over in their direction, weaving in and our of the crowd of drunken high schoolers. Walking up to the sleeping pair, she can't help but smile. She doesn't really know either of them, although she was informed of their relationship by Nick in the car, and she couldn't really blame Audrey for hating Jake. Although it was a nice sight to see them like this, so peaceful.

She walked up to them, seeing that they really were passed out, reaching a small hand out she puts it on Jake's shoulder. He probably wasn't really in that deep of a sleep if he woke up just from that. He looks up with drowsy eyes at Katie who still has her hand on his shoulder.

"Hey." He whispers as he tries not to wake Audrey and is still half **** himself.

"Hey, Nick and I are back, we are just hanging in the kitchen. Do you know where Ethan, Chloe, Jess, or Nathan are?" Katie says in a soft voice. Even with the loud music going in the room and the shouts of the rave going on, she keeps an almost mother-like nature to her words.

Jake points to the other side of the room, which Katie follows the line of sight, seeing Nick over by Ethan and Chloe who are laughing on a sofa.

"Well we are going to chill in the kitchen, but take your time, just relax or whatever." Katie says as she backs towards the kitchen.

Jake puts his own hand on Audrey's shoulder, having to move it from around her waist. He shakes her slightly, looking over her side towards her face, "Hey, Audrey... It's time to get up."

"Hmm?" Audrey says as she stirs, she sounds like she isn't even truly awake.

"Katie and Nick are back, we are going to the kitchen." Jake says as he sits up, stretching out his limbs.

"Mhm..." Audrey grumbles as she starts to completely doze off again, she didn't even open her eyes.

"I'm just gonna pick you up, you can just relax." Jake says as he stands up and turns towards Audrey. She just gives a little head nod as her eyes stay closed.

He reaches down and scoops her up, one arm underneath her knees, and the other around her back. She sluggishly reaches her arms around his neck and rests her head against his chest. He starts to make his way towards the kitchen.

Nick follows Katie out towards the living room, although he sees her make her way towards the sleeping duo on one side of the room. He looks around to see if he can spot anyone else. As he scans the room he sees Chloe and Ethan on the opposite side of the room from Jake and Audrey, laughing on a sofa. He starts to make his way towards them.

Ethan is the first to notice Nick walking his way, "Hey what's up bro?"

It's apparent that he isn't that drunk, he's just letting go, "Not much, me and Katie just got back, we are back in the kitchen."

"Aight, ready?" He says turning his head towards Chloe who is just giggling, holding onto her drink.

"Yep!" She says in a preppy voice, struggling to stand up.

"Hold up, i got you." Ethan laughs as he stands up and turns to offer Chloe a hand. He pulls her to her feet, and loops his arm so that she can loop hers through his. She does so she can still stand and walk properly. Or at least to the kitchen.

"So how'd the car go?" Ethan says as he, Chloe and Nick make their way slowly back towards the kitchen, slowed down by Chloe's occasional stumbling.

"Pretty well..." Nick says looking off into the distance, thinking about what Katie said and thinking about how much he didn't know about her.

"Well what about you," Nick says looking up at Ethan, "How did... that go."

"Pretty well, we had a fun time." Ethan laughs looking over at the still smiling Chloe.

Making their way into the kitchen they see Audrey sitting on the counter, still wearing Jake's oversized jacket, rubbing her sleepy eyes with her hand which was covered by the sleeve of the jacket. Her hands didn't reach the end cuffs of it, so the sleeve still went over a couple inches past her hands.

Jake was next to Audrey, leaning against the counter letting out a yawn, being that he just woke up from his own nap.

Katie was sitting next to Audrey on the counter, holding her new friend by her side, leaning her head on the sleepy Audrey's shoulder.

Ethan brings Chloe over to the island and lets her lean against the counter, not willing to let her get on it in fear of her falling off. He himself stands next to her to keep her up. She has her arms wrapped around one of his arms, holding him close as she laughs to herself.

Nick leans against the counter next to Jake as the door swings open. Everyone looks over to see Nathan and Jessica walk in, hair covered in snow. They are shivering from the cold. Nathan shakes his head spreading a little snow and water all over the foyer, and Jessica.

"Hey!" Jessica laughs pushing Nathan playfully as they take off their coats and shoes.

Nick looks at them with a suspicious eye.

"Hey guys, here to join us?" Chloe laughs, waving the two over.

"Anyone want to talk about what happened or are we just going to get right to it?" Nick says looking around.
