They'll certainly try!

"My babies!" Mei cried out as she saw her drones on the ground from their perch in the sky, and their capture guns frozen over as Izuku watched Team Todoroki land a bit roughly, Todoroki already mixing the headbands and putting them on, making sure none of those with numbers on them had said numbers facing outwards. He was using the pilfered decoys in the same way Izuku had.

"...you know what? I'm not even mad, I'm actually impressed," Izuku noted as Midnight gave the three minute warning. "But we need to go after them now!" he added, Ochaco releasing her Quirk, and dropping the team down. They landed with grunts as Team Todoroki moved away, though thankfully not as fast as Izuku was afraid of. And of course, they weren't the only ones going after Team Todoroki.

"Thanks for getting those points down for me, Icy Hot, now hand them over!" Bakugo was shouting as he blasted his way over to Team Todoroki. Kaminari immediately released a field of voltage, but Bakugo stopped just shy of the field, and blasted the ground, kicking up a smokescreen and enough debris to pelt them, and **** Kaminari to yelp and lose focus on the voltage.

Bakugo then threw his arms back, releasing another blast that carried him past Todoroki, and he snagged blindly in the smokescreen, coming away with three headbands. Sero immediately pulled him back, having attached a few reels of tape to him. Bakugo landed back with his teammates, and checked the headbands. "Any luck?" Kirishima asked.

"...fuck!" Bakugo cursed as he saw he had two decoys, and the one from Team Tetsutetsu. Unacceptable! "We're going back for those ten million points!" he shouted.

"Denied!" Momo shouted, catching Team Bakugo by surprise from the side as she had made another capture net gun, and shot it at them. The net tangled them, and it was electrified, which left them stunned. Team Midoriya passed by them and Izuku grabbed a headband from them as they passed, just to ensure they at least passed. And as Bakugo cursed, trying to get the net off, Team Midoriya pursued Team Todoroki, with two minutes to go.

"Still got the special smoke bomb?" Ochaco asked Izuku, who nodded.

"Everyone, hold on tight and use the rocket boots to get us in closer!" Izuku shouted, holding the smoke bomb tight. They nodded, and surged forward towards the retreating Team Todoroki. Even if they passed, Izuku was of a similar mind to Todoroki and Bakugo: he wouldn't settle for anything short of first place, at least not without giving it his best shot to reach it.

"Back off," Todoroki stated, making an ice wall. Izuku grimaced, and charged one hundred percent of One For All to his index finger, prepared to break it as they approached the wall, about to slam painfully into it.

"Smash!" Izuku shouted, flicking, and creating the shockwave, blasting the ice wall apart. Todoroki's eyes widened as Team Midoriya was on them. "That was well played Todoroki, but I'm taking those points back!" Izuku declared, throwing down the smoke bomb, and causing a cloud of yellow tinted smoke to rise up.
