Theatre

Nate arrived at the door of the auditorium. He walked in as quietly as possible so as to not interrupt the class. The instructor, Ms. Jenkins, was yelling out stage directions to some students acting out a scene together. When they wrapped up the scene Ms. Jenkins saw Nate out of the corner of her eye. She told the students to run it through again and that she would check back with them in a few minutes. She walked over to Nate and greeted him warmly.

“Howdy,” she was from Texas. “I heard your looking to do some more ‘exotic’ filmmaking that what everyone is used to.”

Ms. Cole told her he wanted to be a pornstar. Of course she did. Why wouldn’t she? She was smart, probably only calling the liberal loonies of the staff, knowing they might agree, especially this one. Most of the students knew who Ms. Jenkins was. She grew up in a real conservative small town in Texas. She moved away to attend college a few states away and was immediately turned on to a new way of life, one she embraced wholeheartedly. It wouldn’t surprise Nate if Ms. Jenkins had already done some “exotic filmmaking” herself back in the day, but that would bring up the question as to how she managed to become a teacher. He looked back at her as she smiled, talking in that sexy southern accent of her’s.

“I think I’ve got just the thing in mind.” She said.
