The zombies are on their way

All it took was one sound of an angry, not to mention hungry, growling noise coming from further down the mall to let both of the survivors know that things were about to get nasty and fast.

"Get out of here and turn left! They're coming from the right!" Chloe ordered calmly, a strong leadership aura radiating off of her; Dennis had gotten used to this attitude whenever danger arrived and it was part of the reason why the woman was still alive. The brunet wasn't about to doubt her command as without a word, he turned and dashed out of the store, making a sharp left.

Though even seemingly perfect people such as Chloe make mistakes sometimes and Dennis's rash decision would quickly bring along regret. The man's eyes went wide as just as he turned the corner of the clothing store's glass doors and into the spacious hallway of the mall, right in front of him appeared a zombie. It was a dead woman with long red hair that flowed down her back that gives off the idea that she must have died just recently. Given that her clothes were only slightly ripped and all of her body parts were all intact, she must have either starved or gotten bitten in a place he couldn't see...based on what wasn't rotted on her face, she must have been really beautiful as a human.

Though none of these quick examinations prevented Dennis from getting tackled to the ground by this zombie, sending him flat on his back with the weight of the undead onto of him. It seemed like it was over, one crucial mistake had brought him to his grave, all it took was one bite on his body. It seemed over when the walking corpse's claw reached out to seemingly grab a piece to eat...until Dennis realized a few seconds, he was still alive.

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIP

The sound of fabric tearing echoed throughout the large area. Dennis glanced down to see the zombie effortlessly tearing his t-shirt down the middle all the way until she, er, it's finger reached the bottom. The chances of the mindless killer just having missed skin decreased as it did nothing after that, intent on just keeping it's lifeless eyes directly on Dennis's now bare stomach and chest.

A few more moments passed as a loud heart beat could clearly be heard coming from the one living person. Dennis found himself frozen from fear, unable to do anything as the dead woman's hand moved again, this time inching lower and lower until...

A sharp kick sent the zombie spiraling across the floor and Dennis turns to see Chloe on her feet with an expression of equal horror on her face. "D-Dennis, I am so sorry! I didn't even hear her! Those things ALWAYS make some sort of noise! How come this time..." The voice trailed off as the blonde spoke to herself while reaching a hand out to help him up.

"It's alright, at least I'm alive." The guy mutters, accepting her hand though finding himself blushing slightly as Chloe looks towards him, just noticing his shirtless problem; the bare skin of his upper body now revealed to her. Her mouth is in an 'o' shape for a moment, unable to say anything when another growl sent both survivors turning behind them. There were more coming!

Dennis quickly shrugs the rest of his shirt completely off as they begin to run the opposite way, the fabric was practically useless to him at this point. The man barely hops over the reaching hand of the female zombie from the floor who was quickly standing back up to chase after the duo once again. Dennis kept running at full speed, turning around to find dozens of zombies climbing up the escalator below and to the second level where they were currently at with the female zombie who had just recently ambushed him leading the front of the pack; there was no turning back now!

"Dennis!"

His partner's cry caused the man to quickly look back in front of him to see he was headed directly towards a railing which meant only one thing: if he didn't change direction, the man would be flying all the way down to the first floor!

The good news was that all it took was a small turn right to keep running down a different hall and easily avoid this problem. The bad news was that Chloe must have just noticed Dennis hadn't been looking and was currently running towards the left side of the mall; this led to a completely different section of the three story building that would give them no chance of reuniting without backtracking.

Dennis could slow down a bit and follow Chloe towards the left but even a moment of hesitation could give the zombies behind him just enough time to catch up...
